SMAT

Purpose:

The project, funded under the Piedmont region program P.O.R. FESR 2007/2013 “aerospace” sector , is framed within the theme of UAV.

Project  SMAT (Sistema di Monitoraggio Avanzato del Territorio ) is a land monitoring system based on unmanned vehicles (so-called UAV) that, through their respective control stations, will be able to monitor with continuity the whole region for the prevention and control of a wide range of events such as floods, fires, landslides, traffic, town planning, pollution and farming. The aircraft will be coordinated by a monitoring and coordination station able to  communicate with users interested in monitoring data.
